Nurturing Families™ Introduction

Comp. 1-3 for families with children of all ages

This online program sets the stage for advanced learning in future Nurturing Families Infant-19 competencies.

Objectives include:

  • Building rapport at the heart (affective) level
  • Assessing Attitudes, Knowledge & Skills
  • Increasing empathy & Self-Awareness
  • Relationship Building
  • Emotional Regulation
  • Developting Self-Discipline Skills
  • Exploring Self-Identity & Self-Worth
  • Working through Change, Growth & Letting Go

Through a parallel process of learning, these three competencies strengthen the facilitator and family relationship in order to lay the foundation for future cognitive instruction.

This online program is available for anyone that has completed a Nurturing FamiliesFacilitator Training. The program can be implemented to individuals, parents, families, or groups online or face to face.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

  • In August 2020 a notification email will be sent to all FNC-TX Affiliates with information on Nurturing Families Infant-19 about the completion of competencies. All competencies will be available by the end of 2020.

For trainers who were trained by the Family Nurturing Center of Texas within the past 5 years

CONTENT

  • 4 hours of training
  • 10 PowerPoint slides for trainers who want the Nurturing Families Infant-19™ incorporated into their Certified Facilitator Training
  • Nurturing Families™ Introduction (3 Competencies 10 Lessons)
  • FNC-TX affiliation is required.
  • An evaluation process can be conducted on an as needed basis, determined by FNC-TX.

TRAINER MATERIAL OPTION #2 

For trainers who have completed a Training of Trainers in the past 3 years through FNC-TX

CONTENT

  • 4 hours of training
  • Nurturing Families™ Introduction (3 Competencies 10 Lessons)
  • Complete trainer package: documents plus 3-day PowerPoint slides
    • Trainer Checklist
    • Names of Participants – Agency Form
    • Training Attendance & Assignment Checklist
    • Pre & Post Evaluation Questions
    • MentiMeter Polling Questions
    • FNC-TX Training Workbook
    • Pre-Reading Material
    • Sample Facilitator Certificate
    • Session Documentation Form
  • Trainer certification and recertification may include the ability for FNC-TX affiliated Trainers to provide Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) under the  FNC-TX.

  • An evaluation process can be conducted on an as needed basis, determined by FNC-TX.

TRAINER MATERIAL OPTION #3

For trainers who have not completed a Training of Trainers (TOT) through FNC-TX

  • Must attend a Training of Trainers(TOT)
  • Nurturing Families™ Introduction (3 Competencies 10 Lessons)
  • Complete trainer package: documents plus 3-day PowerPoint slides with notes
    • Trainer Checklist
    • Names of Participants – Agency Form
    • Training Attendance & Assignment Checklist
    • Pre & Post Evaluation Questions
    • MentiMeter Polling Competency Questions
    • FNC-TX Training Workbook
    • Pre-Reading Material
    • Sample Facilitator Certificate
    • Session Documentation Form
  • FNC-TX affiliation as an organization trainer (OT) or state trainer/consultant (STC) is required.
  • Ongoing support and technical assistance
  • Trainer certification and recertification may include the ability for FNC-TX affiliated Trainers to provide Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) under the  FNC-TX.
  • An evaluation process can be conducted on an as needed basis, determined by FNC-TX.
